We have planned to changed domain that's means to create new domain and create new users and with different password. It will be really thankful for your valuable suggestions. I know i will change SID ID network domain in userinfo Table and change the passwords you also suggest me. But this thing is certain we are going to change this domain.

Best Regards,

Shabir Ahmad

    Hi Shabir,

You can either create a SQL query or an x++ job to disable the users.

The re-enablement should be done on the form or with an x++ job. During the update method, there is some x++ logic which will connect to AD and syncs the SID based on the alias and the domain.

Hi André Arnaud de Calavon ,

Thanks for your kind suggestion. Ok i will use that domain administrator ID to do any kind of operations. You mean to say that in SQL  Server(userinfo table) NETWORKDOMAIN will be changed for old backup as well as NAMEALIAS .

    One thing more:

create a script to have all users disabled (except the current user logged in)(how to create a script (do you in SQL server)

When re-enabling the users, the AX logic will retrieve the new SID per user automatically.( What does that mean??

should i do it manually to change all user SID ID(in SQL SERVER userinfo table) or by creating new users in domain will do it automatically.

    Appreciate your kind suggestions

    Best Regards,

    Shabir Ahmad

    Hi Shabir,

In addition to the information provided above:

If an administrator has access on the new domain, there might be a more easy workaround to update other users. With a script you can update the NETWORKDOMAIN and when required also the NAMEALIAS. Then from the UI, or create a script to have all users disabled (except the current user logged in). When re-enabling the users, the AX logic will retrieve the new SID per user automatically.
