security role in security group not working

Hello,

we have a problem with setting of one user. We try to allow the user to create new records on some form. For this, the security role "R" is needed. When we assign this role directly to the user, it works fine. But we need to manage that using AD. In AD, there is group "G" created and this group contains the role "R". But still, when we assign the user to the group "G", he is not able to create new records, it does not work.

Does anyone know, please, how this can be solved?

Hi Andre, I read your blogs when we planned to make use of AD (Entra) Groups for FO role security implementation. I face the same issue as Sayid and not sure how/if he managed to resolve it.

With 4 user accounts, we tested a role that was manually assigned = success

With 2 user accounts - linked to a ME Group = issue.

Not everything in the role does not work. It is one specific form that the user has access to, but no data is displayed to him. When we test with a test account with manual role assignment, the data is displayed.

Have you experienced this before?

Hi Sayid,

I can understand that you might not have Azure AD access. Probably you can check the details together with a system/Azure administrator?

Hi André,

thx for your post. I will try to check it, but there is a problem, that I am not able to check AD, as developer I do not have access into AD, I was just told by administrator to find the solution, but tbh I have no idea, as everything works fine on my side, so I was thinking, if someone maybe had similar problem...

well, the administrator created security groups in AD and then assigns the users to the groups, something like this:
