Hi, how do I enter a 100% discount in a sales line? It will not allow me to have a $0.00 Line Amount value, it says / A value for this field is required/. Obviously I am missing a setting somewhere? Thanks.

    Hello,

Typically we will use the Line Discount or Invoice Discount.
Standard BC do allows posting of $0 invoice if you are using $0 on unit price.

The error message doesn't look like it is coming from standard BC. You can check where the error is coming from the view last known error page.

100% discount is a standard feature of BC, please check if you have exposed the field via personalization. The line discount % will auto become 100 if you put zero in the unit price field.

First, modify the unit price field rather than the line amount field. Line amount is usually calculated by the system and should not be edited by a user.

Second, are you referring to the red asterisk in the line amount field? And this asterisk says a value for this field is required? If so, you can still post the sales order even with this red asterisk. You can basically ignore it.

Third, to have a zero price you can either enter 0 in the unit price field, or leave the unit price as it is and enter a discount of 100%. Either option works.
