    hello nation chirara,

a good starting point is researching/interacting on java forums like

    community.oracle.com/.../hyperion_query_and_reporting

    www.java.net/.../java-user-groups

RE: interfacing NAV with a java application

    Hie Ignacio Ocampo,

I appreciate your response very much.

I need your help most and I know you can help. I managed to connect to the database through jdbc. I am only executing read commands on the database. My concern is to make use of the data from the database to generate reports. The point is, I want to come up with a software that will use data from the database to generate reports for decision making. The software should draw charts, graphs etc. I know there are some packages which we can use to do this e.g. MS Excel, but that is not what I want. I want a stand alone software that connects to the database that is being used by MS Dynamics NAV and make use of the data there to make reports.

I am developing this software with Java.

Now there are things to consider: As the help that I need is now much concerned with Java, I do not know if it is possible that i keep on posting in this forum. If so I will otherwise I was thinking to post my problems directly to your email so we will not mess the nice forum with what is of little relevance.

I am looking forward to your response. Thank you in advance.
