Every time an event registration is made using the 365 Event registration Form, a new Lead is always created. It pays no attention to the matching strategy setup for all are leads.
This means, when someone registers for multiple events, they will have multiple leads in the system, instead of just ONE lead awhich can be updated and scored. We are using the Email only for our matching strategy, but this doesnt work.
If someone registers for 3 events, i get 3x Leads with scoring of 20 points. I need just 1 Lead with a score of 60 points.
I suggest to create a lead from a journey instead of from every event registration.
So instead of enabling the toggle to create a lead for every event registration on the event, I would create a trigger based journey.
"When a event registration is created", send the registration confirmation email (optional) and create a lead in the journey. There you can decide to always create a new lead or update the lead based on your matching strategies.
In the lead score you can also set the toggle where the parent contact interactions also count for the score.
