Unable to search by desired column within Lookup field - problem occurs only in Unified Interface

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

On the Entity Quick Find View desired column is marked as Find Column.

Column is also added on Entity Lookup View.

On older Web interface everything works properly, we are able to search by desired column inside lookup field.

The same is not possible on new Unified Interface.

Correct version is 1612 (9.0.15.9) (DB 9.0.15.9) on-premises.

Is it possible to enable the search by the desired column on particular lookup field in UI?

Field is also set as Searchable.

It seems to be a bug in this on-premise version.

    Hi,

Can you also verify if field is searchable on field properties under customization->Customization the system->Entity->Field .

If it does not work, I would recommend to log support ticket with microsoft.

This field Customer is marked as Find Column on Quick Find Active Records View. The field type is Customer (account/contact).

The field is present both on Entity Lookup View and Entity Quick Find View

We have tried several times to publish/unpublish all changes but nothing changed after that.

    Current version: 1612 (9.0.16.7) (DB 9.0.16.7) on-premises

The problem is only present with the new Unified Interface.

    Hi,

Can you please send screenshot of configuration you did on quick find view?

Also can you try disabling the field from quick find and then publish the changes. Then enable it again and see if it works.

You can also log support ticket to microsoft it it is critical for yuor customer.

    Hi Johao,

The problem is present on multiple columns, for example when find column is a lookup type (in this instance it is customer type field), and when find column is an option set field it doesn't work.

The searching within lookup field by find columns in Unified Interface never works.

Quick find is working well both in Web and Unified Interface.

There is one page about this feature:

    Hello there,

Have you checked if this is happening to multiple find columns or only with one?

How much time does this have failing?

In the quick find it works well or not?

Please confirm if the issue is happening only in the lookup field
