Tracking Last Activity Date field on Accounts, Opportunities, Leads, Contacts

Hello Everyone,

I have searched hi and low and found quite a few different ways to track the last activity date associated with a main entity in Dynamics Sales Professional. I am using this guide currently

I have created the "Last Activity Date" field as a rollup field with the following rules.

Screen-Shot-2020_2D00_09_2D00_02-at-1.22.14-PM.pngScreen-Shot-2020_2D00_09_2D00_02-at-1.25.46-PM.png

I then proceeded to add this field to my account page. However, when I make an activity and close it as "complete" it does not update this field. I did not see the need to create a workflow based on the guide I am following.

I am looking for help to make this last activity date field update.

Thank you so much if you can help.

All the best,

Josh

I believe I figured this out. The field works as is but because it is a rollup field it does not update right away. Now I am trying to figure out how to modify the frequency of this field. When I look in my Reoccuring System Jobs -> Actions... I do not see "modify" anything.

Additionally, when using the logic filter of "IF Activity Status equal "Completed" this field is not updated by emails tracked to the CRM, or posts or notes it seems.

Hi Josh, you are 100% on the right track.

The reason I'm scraping the internet again is because it used to work when filtering on 'completed' status. But some weeks a go it stopped working.

I'm going to open a support ticket with MS
