Management Reporter - see period names on drill down report

At the GPUG conference last week I learned how to add period names (name of the month) to the fiscal period set up window.  I did this and was hoping that the month name would appear on my drill-down income statement in Management Reporter, but unfortunately I still see the period numbers not names. Any advice on how to define the columns so I see the month name instead of the period on the drill down?  I have the columns set up for FD actual, Base, Periodic and FD budget, Base, Periodic, and then a number of Attribute columns that appear only on the transaction level drill down.  Thank you!

    Hello,

If your company is on a calendar year, you can use the @CalMonthShort or @CalMonthLong AutoText code in the header for a column and the month name for that period will print. The period is determined by the value in the "Period" field for that column (such as BASE). There are also several other codes you can use to output other information.

    Thanks!

Thank you, but unfortunately we are on a fiscal year (june 30) so I need the period date to show, not the calmonth.

    Hello,

Thank you for the update. If you want to see the period date in the column header, you can use the autotext code @EndDate. This will output the period end date.

MR 2012 unfortunately cannot read the period descriptions from Dynamics GP at this time. The alternate option would be to manually type in the period description into the header of the column.

I strongly suggest that you request the ability to read the period names from Dynamics GP as a feature for Management Reporter 2012 on the Microsoft Connect site. The product managers keep a close eye on this, and several features that were initiated from the site for Management Reporter (v2.0) are available in Management Reporter 2012. Please be sure to include your business justification for the need for the feature.

Before you can create or vote on a suggestion, you must sign up for a free Windows Live account and join the Microsoft Connect site. A step-by-step walkthrough of how to join and use Microsoft Connect can be found at:

    Thanks!
