Hello, I am using a consolidated field in offer to obtain the sum of my offer line entity. However, the field that I want does not appear in my consilidated field, I get that I cannot use a calculated field that uses a related field. How can I do?
Hi Alejandra,
Its not really clear what you're trying to do. Are you talking about the order entity? Or did you create your own entity called offer? We need a little more information on what you're trying to accomplish.
Hi Dian.
It is in the entity already existing offer, I want to make the sum of my products from the entity offer line.
For example: I changed the offer line and added a new field that is the total and is calculated from the cost of the product entity.
So when I want to use that total in a consolidated field in the Bid entity. It does not appear to me because it says that I cannot use fields related to other entities.
Your system admin might have renamed the entity, as 'Offer' is not an out of the box entity in Dynamics 365 and neither is 'Bid'. Can you tell me what the system name is of the entities?
The name is "quote" and "line of quote"
So out of the box the quote line totals are being calculated automatically and stored on the quote entity in the 'Total Amount' field (system name is totalamount) You can create a calculated field to track the cost on the quote line, but you can't create a rollup field to show this value on the quote. I think you would need someone in development to help you create a plugin or something for this. This is not possible out of the box.
