Hi,
We're looking to implement the Absence Manager functionality in Dynamics HR for a subset of staff who need to have their leave approved by a resource manager rather than their line manager.
When we set up the Absence Manager do we need to add all staff to the new hierarchy, even if their leave is still to be approved by their line manager? Trying to avoid the overhead of managing and maintaining that if I can.
Thanks,
Rob
Hi Rob,
This functionality is developed based on Leave and absence parameters > Absence hierarchy.
docs.microsoft.com/.../hr-configure-absence-manager
yes you need to add manager's position in relationship for all the staff as you're using custom hierarchy. Better you export/import data from data entity in case where your line manager and absence manager is same for multiple positions.
