I am trying pull a report (using the Advanced Find function) to show me all the Accounts that have a Lost Opportunity but not an Open one. Can anyone help?

Select Lost Opportunity view and then Accounts

Or

Open Active Accounts and then select opportunity on related records, add Lost as opportunity status.

Let me know if this will works for you. Else I will share a screenshot.

Hello,

for accounts with lost but without any open opportunities, try to create a new personal/system view in the account entity using (Related) opportunity fields as below:

Thank you for response. However this does ot give the data I would like. I do not understand why but it does include Accounts with Open Opportunities

Joe,

I would suggest you use a static Account marketing list for this. You need to make two passes - the first is to add all accounts with a lost opportunity associated to them. The second pass is to remove members based on having a related open opportunity. The members left in the marketing list are those you are looking for.

The static marketing list is probably the simplest solution. You cannot do this with one query via Advanced Find.

You could probably create a FetchXML query to do this using outer joins (with 2 joins to the opportunity entity), but the Advanced Find interface does not support criteria on the joined entities with an outer join, so instead you could create an SSRS report with the FetchXml.

For reference, the example above does not work as the criteria will work on the same opportunity record - i.e. it returns accounts which have an opportunity that is Lost and the same opportunity is also Not Open.
