Hi,

I am wondeing is there a way to add serial numbers to products when they a delivered from supplier?  Would these serial numbers be saved so that when I ship the product to customers the serial numbers would then be removed from the list?

Well then what license do you have for NAV, is it a basic licenses of an extended one, like advance manufacturing.

    Hi,

Yes I am sure bin and pot are the same thing.  How do I create a bin in NAV?  I am only a basic user in NAV.

    Regards

    Stephen

    Pot means BIN, right.

Yes you can do that also.

You can receive the item in a bin and when shipping you can pick from the Bin.

    Hi,

What I was looking for was a way that all sn (for multiple products) would scan into a "pot" for each product, then as I pack and ship orders during scanning of the products the sn would then be taken out of the "pot".  That way I would always know what sn I have in the warehouse for which product.

    Is that possible?

    Regards

    Stephen

You can certainly manually enter serial numbers from the manufacturer at the time of Goods Receipt. Conversely, at the time of shipping , the user will advise NAV which serial numbers were consumed for the shipment. Bear in mind that the inventory and item tracking are separate objects.

    Hope this answers your question.

    Good Luck!
