Microsft Dynamics SL 2015 missing detail transactions from general ledger and account balances from account history for current year 2019

Microsft Dynamics SL 2015 missing detail transactions from general ledger and account balances from account history for current year 2019.  The missing transactions and accthist are for one Balance Sheet account only.  They were visible on Friday, but today, they are not.  Both GL & TB show a zero for the account for 2019.  Account amounts still exist in journal entries.

I have the same question (0)

    Dear Carla,

Did someone delete your gltrans? They don't just "go missing" someone has to be in sql server and delete them for them to go missing. Are you looking/pulling up these batches in the journal transaction screen?

You didn't mention Management Reporter , there are some issues with that program that would or can exclude accounts or transactions.

Perhaps you should open a case in Microsoft support as there would be really no way for us to guide you without looking at the data.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Carolyn,

Thank you for responding.  I am scheduled to examine various tables in SQL this evening.  I had the client pull up one of the journal entries for the specific account and the detail is there.  I asked the client if anything out of the ordinary had happened or has anyone been in SQL looking at data.  The client stated the only thing they have done is export a consolidated file and run a custom report for their accountants containing all GL trans for 2019 YTD.  I expressed to the client that data just doesn't disappear for one account for the entire current year, something must have happened for everything to be alright on Friday and the information missing for one account only to disappear on Monday.  I had the client rerun the custom report and we found the detail for the specific account to still be in that report. I had them look at several GL JEs and the detail for the specific account exists in the Journey Entry screen; so I believe the data still exists in the DB somewhere. I plan to examine gltran and accthist tables through SQL this evening.  Are there any other GL tables I should review and is there anything specifically I should be looking for within the tables.  If, gltran does not contain transactions for the account/subaccount in question, is there a way to import the missing detail trans back into gltran?  Is so, are you able to share the appropriate steps of action?

Thanks so much for any guidance to can provide,

    Carla

After reviewing the tables in SQL, I determined to problem was with the accthist table.  I corrected the problem and all is well.  So my issue is resolved.  Thanks.
