Cancelling a purchase order in D365F&O

Hello experts,
 
We have a confirmed purchase order which was created through an MRP run. This PO is old and now it was decided to cancel the same. There is no product receipt.
 
We had brought this to 'draft' status. We tried various things to cancel the PO, but the status remains in 'draft'. While trying to delete the line item, we got the below error. 
 
Could you suggest how to unregister this item so that we can cancel the PO? Or is there another way to cancel? TIA!

    Did you try cancelling all the line using Update Line > Deliver remainder option on PO lines?

    Hi,
    Please click on the General tab and select Line quantity to get a better overview of the purchase order (PO) lines. Then, click on Cancel quantity.

    Thanks for your suggestion. But I still get this message. The items are only registered. What am i missing here?



    Also the update line > registeration field is greyed out.

    Hi
    In your scenario the item is registered with 3 qty, so you need to cancel the picking list.
    Can you check if there is a journal for picking list posted?

    If you have items registered then unregister those items. Take a look at this thread and see if it helps you.
