Hi,

I upgraded GP from GP2013 SP2 to GP2015 R2.  I do not want to move old OLE notes to new GP2015 document management module.  I want to add only new attachment to document management module.  Kindly help me how to view old note attachment in gp2015 R2.  I changed ole path in dex.ini file but it does not work.  I can find OLE Object, but when click on this button I could find blank OLE container.

If this is a new transaction with no notes, then the OLE Container will open with a blank canvas. You can then use the File menu on the OLE window to attach any type of document. Now, if what you are insinuating is you had documents already attached to certain transactions and these are missing, I suggest you take a look at the Dex.ini file and locate the OLEPath key. Make sure it is pointing to the correct notes folder.

    Hi,

I verified OLE path in dex.ini  file and it is correct.  I removed OLE path and updated from the system directly but it is not working.

Do we have to migrate old ole notes to new data document management functionality by migration tool for viewing old ole notes. What is the use of OLE object as shown in picture mentioned in my previous mail.

Please find below screen-shot of dex.ini file.  I removed OLEPATH and updated from the system directly.
