Can I pay a vendor set up for EFT with a CHQ as a one time payment as the amount is over our EFT daily authority?

Yes, you can pay a vendor set up for EFT with a check (CHQ) as a one-time payment in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365F&O). To do this:

Change the Payment Method:

Navigate to the vendor's payment setup and temporarily change the payment method from EFT to CHQ for this specific transaction.

Create a Manual Payment:

Generate a manual payment for the vendor using the check payment method. Ensure that the payment is recorded accurately in the system.

Document the Exception:

Add a note or memo to the transaction to explain the reason for using a check instead of EFT. This helps maintain transparency and compliance.

Revert the Payment Method:

After completing the transaction, revert the vendor's payment method back to EFT to ensure future payments follow the standard process.

Hi, Yes you can, just create the payment batch to use Cheque as Payment Method, then you can create the payment using that batch. The type of payment is controlled by the batch, not the Vendor Card.
