Customer Statements do not produce anything

(1) ShareShare
ReportReport

Hi,

I'm posting in this category as I believe there is a permissions/setup issue.

I am an admin and can generate PDF customer statements no problem at all (Being a super user)

However the credit control guys in the business can raise the pop up box after clicking customer statement, but when they click the "OK" button to generate the statement itself, nothing happens at all. No prompt for file name, no box to inform it's printing, just nothing.

What am I doing wrong here? Hopefully someone has experience with a similar issue?

Thank you in advance!

NashCo

    Hello Nashco,

May be that user didn't select the Report output option, default Print option is selected, so it gone to printer.

    See the bellow screenshot.

Yes we selected Print.... should we perhaps try another option like PDF?

You should select PDF if you want pdf.

Definitely you will get folder dialog

Ok I selected PDF and received a dialog ox to which I selected where the PDF should be saved (I wasn't given an option to name the file however).

Clicked ok and nothing happened. There's clearly a process that is not firing and i'm wondering if its a permission issue or is it another setup issue somewhere?

On a side subject, do you know how to hide all allocated entries from the statement? (All entries with a remaining amount of 0?)

I seem to have tried all combinations of the tick boxes on the statement dialog but I still receive a messy list of open and closed invoices alike.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Check the selected folder,It created pdf.

however filename is (Statement for The + CustomarName +_Statement as of Today).pdf

for each customer it creates separate pdf.

if you want to give filename manually, then you have to customize code.

If you didn't get any pdf, then first check with Preview option and if get in preview then select PDF for testing. sometimes if file doesn't have value that time file not created.

Thanks again, the preview options doesn't do anything either. This seems very weird considering everything you are saying here.

Seems there's a bit more to this problem then set up?

What start date and end date fitlers are you using, did you try with different dates ? may be there are no entries for the selected date range.

There is a bug related to the customer statement related to SQL Error which is fixed is CU 8, but that will throw an error.

Are you able to print and preview PDFs from the user's machines when you log in with your credentials as super user? What authentication type do you use? Users might have insufficient rights to generate/view PDFs or have limited access to the folder where the PDF should be printed to...

Ok so it's definitely a permissions issue, I gave a credit controller super user access and they could preview, print and save customer statements with ease.

Now I just need to identify which of the S&R permission sets (if it sits there) control the ability to run statements!

    Thanks
