GP 10 on Terminal Server (Remote Desktop)

Hello There,

we have GP 10 in Terminal server 2008 R2 (two server with load balancing).  All the users experienced freezing either of the server.  The freezing on different windows inquiry as well as transactions windows.  We have debugged with lot of different fix disabling DEP, 32bit ODBC & removing the load balance still the freeze didn't stopped.  So we build a brand new virtual server and installed all again and all users logged on to this and for 2 months they worked on this and no freezing.  So we have  rebuild the original server and reinstalled GP and users started using this and again the freezing problem has back.  As anyone had these kind of experience please share your experience and suggestions.

Thanks,

Babu

    Hi Richard and All,

I have finally able to debugged this problem.  Out of 2 server  the server one had the MS Office 2003 Web component is installed and none of the users experience crash or freezing in GP.  And on the original server the web component is not available which cause the freezing of GP.  The following 2 link from KB and dynamics community explaining these in detail.

    Hi Richard,

the third terminal had only 4GB which worked fine but the original server has 14GB RAM.  If the service pack installed when the DEP is enabled, will it create any problems.

    Thanks,

    Babu

Do you have enough RAM on the original server?
