Electronic Report - Convert to PDF is not working

Hi All,

Is anyone experiencing an issue with the electronic report destination's "convert to PDF" feature?

Error message: Failed to convert file 'Filename.docx' into PDF format with error: The conversion to PDF of the provided content type is not supported. Please, revise your settings or the running ER format. Contact your system administrator and provide the correlation ID ccf5da3d-3a4f-44d4-becc-37fc55b88c7d|7|415 if the problem persists.

The report was working fine before yesterday, and no updates have been made on our end.

Hi @Mark,

Please make sure that "Convert Electronic Reporting outbound documents from Microsoft Office formats to PDF" is enabled in feature management.

The above feature is not showing in the feature and management.

Dear all,

We face also the problem that since Friday, 06-September-2024 the conversion of all our documents into PDF fails with error messages.

That applies to all our D365 F&O environments, both UAT and PROD (release version 10.0.38 and 10.0.40).

Regarding the feature, I found this information:

In our environments this feature is no longer available.

So far we have received no solution from Microsoft. Has anybody solved the issue already?

In versions of Finance before 10.0.21, conversion to PDF had to be explicitly enabled. However, starting in version 10.0.21, the Convert Electronic Reporting outbound documents from Microsoft Office formats to PDF feature was automatically enabled. Starting in version 10.0.29, the feature became mandatory. In Finance version 10.0.32, the feature has been eliminated, and conversion to PDF is enabled out of the box.

We have a created a MS case, it seems there is a problem with the Mirosoft PDF conversion service. We have this issue for multiple customers since friday..

we have the same problem, however the option is nor visible in feature management... we are on 38

Dear all,

We have encountered the same issue today, affecting all business documents in all of our environment (10.0.40). We have not received any solution from Microsoft either.

We did discover that if we remove the "Convert to PDF" parameter on the print management destination, the documents are printed in their original format (for us it is docx). So it seems to definitely be related to some un-specified change to that parameter.

If anyone receives a solution from Microsoft, or finds one on their own, we are highly appreciative if it is shared.

Hi @all,

i got the same issue with the electronic reporting converting to PDF.
And i also can´t find the "Convert Electronic Reporting outbound documents from Microsoft Office formats to PDF" feature in the feature management.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

Hi! Same experience in our environments. Both SAT ( 10.0.40 (10.0.1935.92) and Prod (10.0.40 (10.0.1935.69) show the error messages while creating the business documents. Microsoft cant reproduce the error currently. Error started last Friday, Sept 6th. Feature is not available.
