Hey guys,

can someone tell me, where I have to execute the generatesymbolreference command?

Is there maybe more details which I need to know here?

Where exactly should the function be started? On the server or NAV service computers? Do the services need to be restarted?

Thank you ;)

I have the same question (0)

Yes, it's a parameter to launch finsql.exe, the old C/SIDE development environment.

You can also enable a similar feature in the service tier settings.

I have tried these settings, some time ago, and they don't really work well. Hybrid development is better to be avoided, imho.

Anyway, after you apply the settings then someone downloading symbols in VSCode should be able to see what other have added/modified in C/SIDE. But be aware, C/SIDE will NOT be aware of any extensions you publish or objects you create/extend in VScode.

Good to know that at least I executed the command in the right place. Unfortunately, I conclude that the command did not help me with my incorrect personalization...that's too bad. I have been writing with Microsoft for a long time because of the personalization issues and one way to solve the problem should be to execute the command...

    Hello,

Is there already a support ticket (ID) so I can look up the current status. This issue looks like it should be reported to Microsoft so we can assist you further.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

I haven't created a support ticket for the command tpoic, so there shouldn't be one there. I have only created a ticket for the personalization issue.

Okay, thank you then, keep us posted about progress you are making with the Microsoft support engineer.
