Cash flow forecast for Salaries and budget model

Hi,

I am trying to find a way to add to the cash flow forecast an expense which is huge every single month for all companies: Salaries and wedges.

2 things:

1) there is no way to plug in a GL entry to the cash flow.

2) the only way I found to add this information is through the budget on the CF setup

BUT.. after refreshing the CF calculation an the entity store LedgerCovLiquidityMeasurement, i still can't see my lines for the budgeted salaries amounts appearing in the CF forecsat content pack. The only lines we see are Sales and Purchases related.

example below: i have entered a budget for 1/1/2018, 2/1/2018,3/1/2018... not there is nothing.

Hi Veronika - I am facing similar issue. Did you per chance manage to find a resolution and able to share?

    Hello AvinashP and Veronika,

How did you record your  budget? What's the status?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig

Thanks for the revert. I have configured as per your suggestion in one of earlier post https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamicsax-2012/appuser-itpro/include-budgets-in-cash-flow-forecasts

Budget model is included in the Cash flow forecasts

    pastedimage1573458872400v3.png

Budget register entry has the status: Complete

    pastedimage1573458703876v1.png

After "Calculate cash flow forecast" process, the following measures have been updated in the Entity store

    -  LedgerCovLiquidityMeasurement

    - BudgetActivityMeasure

    - BudgetPlanActivityMeasure

    - BudgetVsLedgerActivityMeasure

However when the Workspace: Cash overview - current company is opened, it shows the Purchase Ledger & Sales Ledger entries and no Budget related transactions exist. Any pointers?

    Version: Installed platform version : Update30 (7.0.5407.35455)

    Hello,

From my side, I have never seen this feature work, as like this flag is simply not included in the Measurement of the cash flow what so ever.

Even if you have all of your configuration right and measurements refreshed and up today, the link is still missing.

But this has in older versions, if anybody seen this work in newer releases let us know. If not, I would open a case with MS.

Ok, so we are in the same boat. Perhaps Ludwig can give pointers if we are missing anything obvious.

As rightly said - I have updated all the cubes in the entity store, but yet it fails to show up in the Cash overview.

    Hi AvinashP,

You are thus on D365FO, right?

Next time, please create a new thread on the D365F forum and provide a link to this older post.

    About the cash flow issue:

Have you double checked that all necessary configurations have been made for the cash flow forecasting?

    Please see: docs.microsoft.com/.../cash-flow-forecasting

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Thanks Ludwig, yes I am on D365FO. Further I double checked all configurations as per your link.

I have created a new thread as suggested community.dynamics.com/.../cash-flow-forecasting-budgeting---d365fo

If you have managed to get it working on your instance, appreciate pointers. Else as Veronika suggests, we might have to resort to raising a ticket with MS.

Hi Veronika - apparently we have to open a case with MS. See Ludwig's recommendation in community.dynamics.com/.../983127
