Hi,

What is the difference between Odata and custom services and when to use each one? Can you give me a simple example about each one? I read about then in Microsoft docs and other sites but i think maybe a simple explanation will help me understand better.

I have the same question (0)

A similar question was asked last week in Third Party .net Application - answers there should give you some idea.

    HI Junior,

Now that you have read the relevant documentation, you should already know:

The purpose of OData is to provide a protocol that is based on Representational State Transfer (REST) for create, read, update, and delete (CRUD) operations.

Custom services are programming models through which a developer can convert the X ++ business logic to a service.
