Changing planned purchase order delivery date overwritten on firm

I have a scenario where I may choose at the planning stage to bring forward the delivery date of a purchase order. As a simple example my item appears today with a 10 day lead time and is planned for delivery on 02/10/15. I know I can get this earlier and indeed an action message maybe telling me to bring it forward, so I change the date to 30/09/15.

When I firm the purchase order the delivery is set to 02/10/15.

I have looked at the configuration and the setup and can see nothing obvious triggering this re-peg or re-read. In my simplest example the minimum is set to fulfill from today + procurement time. Yes the procurement time is 10 days, but on this one time I want it reset to earlier.

It seems the only way to do this is after you firm the order, but this seems counter intuitive. I suppose I should follow this and put it in the confirmed date, but I have the option to alter it at the planned stage, so why let me alter it to reset it on the firm where I can miss it?

I therefore think I am missing something, but I cannot find it.

Currently playing in AX2012 R3 but it happens in earlier versions.

Anyone got any pointers?

Thanks

Steve

That seems to be the bug as even after approving the order, changes are not retained.

    Hello Steve!
We had the same Problem in AX2012 R3. If you firm the planned order the method "initFromPriceDisc" from the PurchLine-Table is called -> in this method AX always adds the delivery time to the current date. I think the only one option is to change the code in this method if you want to use the date of the planned order.

    Regards

    Thanks Stefan

I will mark this as resolved if it is a code issue, may need to log it with MS :-)

Hi Steve, did you ever log this with MS or had any other progress?

We changed the code, MS said it was by design.
