I am working on converting a 2009 R2 database to a NAV 2015 database.
Part of the process is to open the database (tables only) in NAV 2013 for conversion prior to opening in NAV 2015.
When I open the NAV 2009 database in NAV 2013 R2 I get this message
So I open NAV 2009 and tick enable the Convert Identifiers (via database alter) and I get this message
Any suggestions on how to overcome this issue?
Thanks

Hi,
I have overcome this issue by ensuring all sumindex keys have MaintainSIFTIndex=No
Thanks for your help
Hi,
The issue I was having with the Convert Identifiers resulting in "Invalid Column Name" was to do with SIFT indexes. I have had to set MaintainSIFTIndex explicitly to NO for many indexes.
I am now getting "G/L Budget Entry table does not exists" when ticking the convert identifiers.
Any thoughts?
Hi Serendipity,
It is when I open the NAV 2009 database in NAV 2013 and agree to convert that I get the error
'The Conversion of database xxxx requires the database option "Convert Identifiers" to be enabled. Use the previous version of the Microsoft Dynamics Environment to enable this option.'
In the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 development environment, open the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 R2 or Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1 database and agree to convert the database.
Hi,
We actually do not have this step that you mentioned -
So I open NAV 2009 and tick enable the Convert Identifiers (via database alter) and I get this message
We just convert the database and we do not get any error.
Yes, that is correct.
Hi Linda,
Were you on this part of the process (upgrade from NAV2009 to NAV2015) -
Open the old database with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 development environment and convert the database.
I see images do not show.
First message was
"The Conversion of database xxxx requires the database option "Convert Identifiers" to be enabled. Use the previous version of the Microsoft Dynamics Environment to enable this option."
Second message was
"The following SQL server error or errors occurred when accessing the BAS Calc. Sheet Entry Table
207,”42S22”,[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Invalid column name ‘BAS Document No.” (and several other fields)
I can overcome this first message by designing the table and replacing all '.' with '_' but the same error then appears for a different table that has dots '.' in field names.
Thanks
