Microsoft GP 2013 Smartlist slow

Hi All,

I have a question, in the past few months one of the Smartlist used by our customer service to search for orders information has been super slow taking about 5 to 10 minutes to return information. When we tried the same search in the view it returns information within a matter of seconds. I've been doing a lot of research and everything is dealing with indexes and out tables are indexed. Any help will be really appreciated, we are using GP2013 R2, the smartlist is located in Sales >> Sales Line Item and the source is a view slbSalesOrderLines.

    Hi,

    And when you reduce the search range, is that still slow?

    I suggest using the "Search" button to reduce the time. SmartList kind of give you the result line by line instead of doing the search and showing the result all at once.

    Hi Patrick,

    Thanks for your quick response, Customer Service are using filters to reduce the amount of records but it still takes a long time to get results.

    Maybe adding index could help. See this post:

    Unfortunately the list view on the left pane doesn't have a Sales Line Items view.

    Another option could be a customisation of the "Sales Order Processing Item Inquiry" and adding the fields you are using most often for your search. This view is faster than SmartList.

    Sales >> Inquiry >> Sales Items
