R3 - Transfer orders can only be received by licence plate

When setting up the mobile menu item for receiving transfer orders there are 3 alternatives available;

Transfer order item receiving
Transfer order line receiving
Licence plate receiving

My problem is that the only option that works on my R3 CU8 environment is Licence plate receiving. If I attempt to receive any other way, I get an error message from the emulator 'Transfer order must be received using LP receiving'.

My scenario is that I am shipping an LP controlled item, from a warehouse management managed warehouse to another warehouse management managed warehouse that does not use LP control. I would expect to be able to receive the transfer order using any method I want, and that the LP would 'disappear' if I receive into a non LP location, but this appears not to be so.

Any help appreciated!

Hi mandrake,

My understanding is that 'WHS warehouse' -> 'WHS warehouse' transfer orders are only possible if you receive using Licence plate receiving.

The two other menu items can currently only be used with 'non-WHS warehouse' -> 'WHS warehouse' transfer.

For 'WHS warehouse' -> 'non-WHS warehouse', well obviously you can't receive using the mobile device at all.

I'm afraid I have never used Licence plate receiving, but there is at least one other forum member who is using Transfer orders in WHS a lot. I hope he spots your message!

I'm glad I didn't spend longer than 2 hours trying to get the other options to work! The time saved there, I can use to write a spec to get the other options working for the scenario I outlined :)

I have a doubt regarding the second case that you mentioned (Non-WHS warehouse -> WHS warehouse).

If we are shipping from a non-WHS warehouse, it is not possible since the item uses WHS. And all such items use license plate and location. So we have to make it a WHS warehouse so that items (WHS enabled) are stored in it. How is the second case even possible?

Hi Anurag,

Its possible to store a WHS controlled item in a non-WHS warehouse/location.

We have 3PL warehouses that do not require WHS processes but ship stock between here and our main WHS controlled warehouses.
