Project Accounting - Ledger posting. Cost vs. Cost-item

Hi All,

If I don't have inventory, I don't use item, I use category, I wouldn't need to set up accounts for the Cost-item and WIP-cost value-item tabs, correct?

Also, if this is an investment project, I don't bill, I don't recognize revenue, which set up in revenue tab would be feasible?  Thanks

    Hi,

The Wip cost item transaction type only needs to be setup if you post your item transactions temporarily on Wip accounts.

I would expect this for investment type projects that run over a couple of periods.

For those projects you typically don't setup any revenue type a count because you are not invoicing a customer.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
