Azure Active Directoy Service - Power BI Reports

Hi All,

I'm currently upgrading my customer to Business Central (on prem). While poking around in the new client I thought I would give Power BI a try. After some trying I was able to activate the Azure Active Directoy Service and I saw the service in my azure dashboard. The next step was to Authorize Azure Service which seemed to work fine as well. So far so good.

However after Authorizing I got a message in the Power BI Area stating:

The Azure AD Authentication Flow provider has not been initialized.

So I thought I would just restart the Business Central Service. Now I just see "Get Started with Power BI" again. When I click on it the system prompts me to authorize again, when I comply I just closes the window and nothing else happens.

Also: in Azure Dashboard I cannot see any resource anymore (but maybe I'm just to stupid to look in the right corner). Does anybody have an idea what I did wrong here? How could I reset all of this and start over? I cannot find anything azure related in the web client using "tell me".

Thank you and best regards,

Jan

To be honest, I really do not recommend the Power BI integration with BC On Prem to be able to embed a few reports. For these things using BC Saas is a lot better.
And, you can create Power BI reports/dashboards/apps in the Power BI Service, using the Gateway to refresh with BC On Prem, even without embedding them in BC.
I would not spend that much time in setting up the 'embedd-connection' as there's not much added value there, imho.
