Button inside menu in Flyout doesn't show up unless there is a enable rule / Display rule

Hi Folks,

I am customizing my form ribbon to work as follows:

I have a FlyOut button which has a Menu and within a Menu I have one button. The problem is, the button doesn't appear unless there is any enable / disable rule OR Display rule attached to it.

The FlyOut button has a command attached and has few enable/disable rules which are working perfect. However, the button which has command attached to it, doesn't show up.

Wondering, if anyone know the reason?

Thanks

Jai

    Hi,

You can use the new command checker to dig deeper and try to understantd this behaviour:

    Hope it helps,

    Hi,

Flyout button will not have any command. You need to add a new button under menu section and assign a command to this button.

    HI Mehdi,

A command can be attached to flyout button and it is working exactly as I expect. (again) my problem is the button in the menu which has command attached to it (without command button will not appear) isn't appearing if no enable/disable rule attached to it.

    Hi,

I understand, as said by Marco please debug your ribbon button by adding this flag to your Url:

    &flags=FCB.CommandChecker=true&ribbondebug=true

It kinda weird problem. I used even Ribbon Checker.. the button appears as enable on the checker however, on the UI its not. For now I just used enable/disable rule to fix it which I have applied to the parent flyout button.

Also tried solution suggested below. it did not work either.

    HI Anthony,

So far 2 scenarios where I have tried, the problem appears the same.

The selection count rule is not applied on my custom buttons otherwise, the ribbon checker would have returned false and would have showed some enable/disable rule.

I have raised a ticket with MS. it seems the MS issue to me.

    Jai
