Scanning weight bar codes on POS

Hi friends,

There is a problem.

Our purpose - to weigh items in a store, print scale barcode and scan it at POS.
For this purpose we have done:

1. Set up the scale bar code (EAN13) mask including a prefix (2 characters), product code (5), quantity (5), check digit (1):

2. In card of the product:

0652._21043D0438043C043E043A04_-_4D043A04400430043D043004_-2014_2D00_10_2D00_22-_3204_-17.15.46.png

Note: is there conversion between inventory unit and CW unit.
3. Procedures of import product data to POS (job N1040).
4. Then the scanning bar code on POS (example: 2800048000507) appears error: "Item number could not be found".

Perhaps you faced a similar problem?

Go to Released Products-->Manage Inventory Tab,

Open Barcodes form, Enter Item Number, Select barcode setup(EAN13),Set "Scan barcode" to True.

In Barcode field : Enter (Prefix+ Product code+00000(Price)+Check Digit

Create sale agreement for single quantity with unit price.

During Scanning in POS You have enter the barcode in below format

Prefix+ Product code + Price + Check digit

Quantity is calculated automatically in POS.

Hi

The problem is solved.

I created the barcode (prefix+product id+00000+check digit) for product. After that it worked =)

hi,

try with another type in barcode mask segment instead of quantity: any number, price, data entry, ...

which ax version do you use exactly?

Bashir, it's ok. type is EAN13 and Length is 13 (2 - prefix, 5 - item id, 5 - quantity, 1 - check digit.

I have read forums and understood that it often does not work. Is this related with scanning pos - it's big question

Please verify the Bar code segment Type and Length

also revisit the creation of bar code Mask :

Bashir, thanks.

I made these settings, but still the POS can't scan the barcode.

By the way, when I creating a barcode by mask for this item, I see the error: "Character B in the bar code mask is invalid."
