Give Access Only to EFT Bank Window

Hello,

I have a requirement where I need to seperate access so one group can read/write to Creditor Maintenance and the Creditor Address Maintenance and another group can read/write EFT Bank Maintenance.

So far I have modified Card_0301* so that it can't modify EFT Bank maintenance which works fine.

I created a role that can only modify EFT Bank Maintenence. The issue is that to get to this button you have to go through the Creditor Address Maintenance window, which I need to restrict access to. Is there a way around this problem?

The only way you can open EFT Bank Maintenance window without opening Address Maintenance window is through a customization rest option is what suggested by Lucas Boewood.

    Hi Matt!

The EFT Bank Maintenance window requires users to have first entered a Vendor/Customer ID and selected an Address ID in the Vendor/Customer Address Maintenance window before it can be opened.

Trying to open the window without making the selection in the Vendor/Customer Address Maintenance window first will result in an error.

To work around this, I think your best option is to leave those users with access to each window and implement Field Level Security for those users who shouldn't be able to make modifications to the Vendor/Customer Address Maintenance window. Using Field Level Security you could simply hide the buttons for saving/deleting records, or go all the way and lock the desired data fields (which will grey them out, but still show values).

More information about Field Level Security may be found on the Docs site:

Or in the following support article:

You can also use the Help menu for step by step guides regarding Field Level Security (click the Help button or press F1 to access the in-application documentation).

I hope that helps resolve this problem for you! Please let me know if there are any questions here.
