Hi All,
We are facing an issue with one of the Security role, when we assign the role to our self we are able to proceed with the functionality, but when we assign the same role to a user, it is not working. The role is a customized role.
we have cleared the cache, deleted the data from "SysLastValue" table, but still, the user is not able to perform using the role.
Please advise us how we can resolve this issue.

Hi Akbar,
You mentioned that it is working when the system administrator role has been assigned to the user. Do you have global address book security enabled in your environment? If so, check if this user is assigned to the correct teams for accessing party and party related data. Can this user find the data via the user interface?

Another thing that you can check is the security development tool for AX2012. It might help you getting some insights why the other users have problems.

Do you get any error message when the user tries to use this logic or is that nothing happens?
Typically I would expect an error message like "Access denied to method transfer in class....
Have you updated System Admin-security role- override permissions?
( Click Add server methods. Type in the class name you want to add and the server method name. Click filter. Select the available server method and click OK. The class will be added and you can locate it by expanding the server/method node. Then try again.)

The user in question and we have assigned the same role which worked for us, not for the user, but other users having different roles, extra roles based on their work and they are performing fine. We cannot assign the extra role for the user in question as the role is working fine for us - without Admin role.

When testing this feature, are the roles assigned to 'our self' users and the normal users the same? Or are there differences?

We are able to test with the same role(without Admin role) in a lower environment. Requester's email address is not getting picked up when performing the auto email functionality. Email is getting picked up from workers form. The code is working fine for all the purposes(HR-->Workers, setup - edit contact information) except the purpose "Home".

What do you mean with ourself and what is the difference with a user? When testing the role with 'our self', was the system administrator role assigned?
Can you tell what is not working? Do you miss menu items or probably a form is showing different records?

In lower environment, it is working for us but not for the user. If we assign the Admin role to the user then the user can perform, the same functionality other users can perform having the higher roles compare to the user in question but we cannot assign the higher role to the user in question.
Functionality : (customized) it is an auto-email functionality when the user performs the PO Receipting, email should go to the requester/Vendor of the PO.we can perform the same in the lower environment, but user not.
