You should be able to use the batch processing for this purpose.

    How I normally do it:

Go to a journal posting and select "Late Selection".

Then select the filter you want my clicking the "select or filter" button and filter it so only journals that are approved are selected.

After that is done you should click "Batch" instead of "OK" on the posting dialogue.

Activate the recurrence and set an interval.

Click OK until all dialogues are closed.

You should now have a batch job that runs continuously posting journals based on the filters you provided.

    Hello Kacper,

I am not sure what journals you refer to (GL, AP, project journals, ...) but in addition to what Frederik mentioned there is a periodic GL functionality available (GL-Periodic-Journals-Post journals) that allows you filtering those journals that have not been posted yet and to post the ones you filtered through this form in batch mode.

    Hope it helps,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

I am refering to GL journals. The problem is batch, I don´t receive any error but the journal is not posted. From time to time after couple of hour the invoice of any unknown reason is posted but I cannot figure out what is wrong and why I am not able to add automatic posting directly in approval flow instead

    Hello Kacper,

If you post the journals in batch mode e.g. through the periodic GL functionality you can define whether you want to be informed (via Pop-up or email) if (a) the batch job finishes, (b) the batch job does not finish becasue of an error or (c) the batch Job is cancelled. By Setting up those alerts, defining the recurrence of the Batch Job and selecting the journals that shall be posted you should be able to get things posted automatically.

Please note that the standard AX ledger daily journal workflow does not include a posting feature but only an approval step. If you want to have an automatic posting step included, you/some developers need to modify the standard workflow.

    All the best,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

thank you for your time. My biggest concern right now is that batch job does not show any error (I have all allerts set up) and the invoice is still not processed anyway. I am wondering now whether the batch job is set up properly. I saw on the screan, that you are using 'aif batch group', does it mean that you have created a special batch-work, or you are using that what 'post-journals' offer?

Not sure if you got this working.  As long as you have Alerts set up you will receive Pop ups and / or e-mails with the results of the batch job.

    EDIT:

I've been testing this functionality and haven't been able to get it to work.  I'm trying to do the same thing you are.  I will post if/when I get this going.

    Hi Kacper,

It runs as per what has been suggested above.

What version of AX are you using? I remember there was a hotfix released for it (AX 2012/R2).

    Can you check for hotfix?

I'm on R2 CU7 and it most certainly does not work correctly.  I will look through Issue search and see if I can find a hot fix.

    Hi Kacper,

you should be able to set up a batch job to post items in a certain status. We, for example, use a batch confirmation of POs after they have been approved. We have approvals on Invoice Journals which autopost after approval.
