How to map from B2C consumer users to Dynamics 365 contacts?

Hi,

I was referred here from Microsoft Q&A to hopefully better resolve this question.

How can Azure ActiveDirectory B2C consumer users created by the sign in/sign up flow be mapped to Dynamics 365 as contacts?

Mapping in this context is taking a token or claim (possibly the OID) from the Azure B2C login process for a Web-app registration (Not logging in to Dynamics itself), and finding a corresponding contact entry in Dynamics via the Dataverse API.

Thanks,

Michael.

    Hi Michael,

What app are you using in dynamics 365?

The place inside the customer service app that involves B2C as well as contacts is the portal.

Maybe you can know about Azure AD B2C integration with Dynamics 365 Portals/ PowerApps portals.

    Hey Michael Watkinson

Did you get the answer to your question? I need to do something similar, but the only things

I have found assume you don't already have a contact set up in Dynamics. That is, the process

of setting up a portal user creates a contact in Dynamics.

I need a way to map a portal user (in this case a powerapps self-service portal) to an existing Dynamics contact.

    Thanks,

    --Matt
