Item canceled for Site

We are using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3. An item we are successfully transacting on (available in inventory) is now giving the below error whenever we add it to the sales order:

Item 40606450 has been cancelled for site 740 and will no longer be sold from that site once inventory runs out.

After auditing the item, I couldn't find any difference with similar items that we do not have issues with. We have inventory for that item and we are able to sell the inventory available. However, I am refraining from making the inventory drop to zero to avoid causing any issues to the item.

Any thoughts on how I should resolve or at least troubleshoot the error? Thanks

    Hi Omar,

Have you checked the default order settings if the item is blocked for a certain site? If you can't find it, can you share a screenshot with the exact error message?

I checked the default order settings. None of the purchase order, sales order and inventory settings are blocked for the item.

For some reason I can;t add a screenshot, but the exact error (copied from the infolog) is : Item 40606450 has been cancelled for site 740 and will no longer be sold from that site once inventory runs out

The item we are using is /40606450/ in site /740/

Have you tried to check Site specific order settings?

Unfortunately, yes. The error still comes up.

If I were you, I would try the following:

    1. Open AOT

    2. Open InventItemSalesSetup table

    3. Search for your item

    4. Check whether Stopping flag is turned on for any found records

"Cancelled for site" would imply a customisation based upon setting for inventory usage, I remember developing something similar years ago but it was AX2009 an the settings were different, it was to flag that you could not sell it after the remaining stock was used rather than a hard "stop".

    Have you checked for customisations?

Thank you all for your help. Indeed, accessing AOT had solved the issue. Since I did not have access to it, one of our developers went in there and solved the issue. It did not take long for the issue to be solved and it must have been an easy task. Did not get any details, though.
