Autonumber Fixed Asset per asset group

Hello,

i am importing Fixed Assets through DIEF with asset id being selected as auto.

Even priority for autonumbering is for asset group number sequence over the number sequence mentioned in asset parameters, but at import, AX is auto numbering from the one selected in asset parameters.

kindly advice if i need to import with auto number per asset group.

    Hi David,

    Do you have a separate number sequence setup for your fixed asset groups that differs from the one that you can find in the FA parameters form?

    Have you ticked the auto-number fixed assets parameter in the fixed asset group form?

    yes true, i have a separate number sequence per group and auto-number is ticked within group

    Hello David,

    Are you working with an older AX2012 System version?

    There are a couple of hotfixes on LCS available that seem to address this problem.

    Hi Ludwig,

    version is AX 2012 R3, Kernel version: 6.3.6000.151, Application version is: 6.3.5000.133

    CU 12 + hotfix from CU13 regarding product receipt registration.

    Dear Ludwig,

    I've made the setup, you've mentioned, but still getting numbers from the number sequence in parameters instead of the one from a FA group.

    I'm testing on AX365, update 15.

    Please send the number of hotfix, because I can not find any on LCS for this problem.

    Hi Anastasia,

    i had read the thread, however it didnt works:

    find hereby the steps i followed:

    1- Auto number fixed assets in Fixed Assets Parameters is cleared.

    2- Autonumber fixed asstes in fixed assets group is checked.

    3- Auto generated in DIEF mapping is checked (for Asset ID field)

    note: i had test also with point 3 cleared.

    in both scenarios, it didnt works.

    kindly advice.

    I'm testing in AX365. May be that's creating a difference. You use AX2012, correct?
