Page Width Property for Boolean(and any other datatype) can't be set

Hi There

hoping to get someone's attention on the NAV team at MS...

I'm wondering what the rationale was behind not being able to set the width property on a Boolean field on a page was? is the assumption that because the field value is TRUE/FALSE (i.e. very short) the field caption would also be TRUE/FALSE?

This limitation combined with the haphazard way matrix pages have to be built leads to a really poor user experience, are there any plans to remove this limitation in future versions? and also making the width property editable at run time as we can with Visible etc... would be very handy!(or every property if you're feeling particular generous? ;))

Regards

Garry

No that's absolutely fine, the problem is you can't specify a width for a Boolean field, so if your field caption is more than about 3 characters long then it's utterly illegible and on a matrix page even if you manually resize the columns to be able to read the captions it gets reset every time you open the page

And what you would prefer user see?

"True" And "False"? "Yes" and "No"?

Yes and No is already used if you filter/search on such field.

Well I'm referring to what the user sees...  Either a tick or not...  I doubt you'll ever see a null value in SQL

    Hi,

    I think that True/False is a "translation".

The real filed values I think they are 1/0 (and "Null" on SQL level).
