Lead to Opportunity by clicking "next step" - business process flow

Posted on by 10

Hello all,

is it possbile to qualify and create an opportunity by clicking "next phase" in the business process flow?

I created a workflow, which allows me to qualify a lead by clicking a button on the form from the business process flow. But it doesn't create a opportunity.

My goal is: I do not want to click the buttons "qualify" and "disqualify" in the ribbon-bar, I want to qualify and create an opportunity by clicking "next phase" - business process flow.

Do you guys know a solution and could you please help me with this?

Thank you in advance and best regards

Paco

    Hi Paco123,

Once you qualify for the lead, an opportunity gets created in the background, In your case, It might not be getting redirected to that opportunity. It's a different issue but the opportunity should be there.

    Yes, I turned it on.

The lead is qualify, I can not edit it anymore. Unfortunately, it does not created an Opportunity, etc.

    Ok, thank you guys.

    One last question:

I created a on-demand workflow which qualify the lead (data record update - lead - qualify). One the other hand I insert an Action Step on the business process flow, which reacts to my workflow.

By doing that: The lead is qualify after clicking the button on the business process flow.

But it did not create an opportunity and the flow reacts only to this button on the business process flow, and not to the button "next step"

    Any idea?

Thank you again for your good support.

    Cheers

    Thank you!

Do you mean to insert an action step in the "lead-to-opportunity", which allows me to click a button to run the workflow that qualify the lead? After that I need to add an Action Step in the qualify stage on the business process flow?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Paco123,

You can a custom workflow or plugin that is triggered when the "next phase" button is clicked. The workflow or plugin can then update the lead status to "qualified" and create a new opportunity record.
