Hello Extensol_D365,
I am afraid there is a rapid guide to implement Dynamics 365 Finance without proper planning.
D365 Finance implementation is a whole project that involves a quite number of sessions and activities right from the purchasing of the license, right to Go-live.
I will give you an overview of a full life cycle implementation.
These are major stages in the Implementation methodology recommended by Microsoft. In fact, you would see this on LCS.
- Analysis
-
- Test
- Deploy
- Operate
I will try to mention some majors activities under each phase.
1. Here is the initiation stage where the following activities are done:
Kick off meeting.
Project onboarding is done on LCS.
Deployment of UAT/DEV environment.
Requirements gathering, preparations of Documents like As-is, To-be..
Fit/gap analysis document is obtained.
Data migration workshop could begin right at this stage.
2. Functional requirement and Technical design documents are signed off.
UAT script are prepared.
Customizations are done if there are gaps.
3. User acceptance test is conducted.
UAT sign off is obtained upon satisfaction.
Pre Go-live Check list is filled and submitted to Microsoft.
4. Deploy Production environment
Data migration
Setup migration / configuration on Prod
