Merge lead records

Hi

I want to know if there's an automated way to merge lead records automatically in dynamics365?

We get leads from various systems in dynamics 365 some of them are duplicates and we want to merge those leads automatically. Can this be automated using Power automate?

We currently use Powermerge but it's not working for us, they have bugs around it.

Does anyways have a solution? other than doing it manually?

How are others resolving merge issue?

Thanks

    Merge lead records
    Hi Zeera

For automating lead merging in Dynamics 365, I recommend considering DeDupeD, a duplicate data management app by Inogic. It’s specifically designed to help detect and merge duplicate records, including leads, accounts, and contacts.
    Key Features of DeDupeD App:
    • On Demand Duplicate Identification: Users can detect duplicates on-demand directly from the entity record form or home grid within Dynamics 365 CRM and Dataverse.
    • Schedule/Automate Duplicate Detection: Schedule daily, weekly, or monthly duplicate detection jobs and automatically send duplicate detection reports to CRM users via email.
    • Duplicate Prevention: DeDupeD lets you prevent duplicate records on both the client side and server side, this helps minimize duplicates from the onset and ensures data quality.
    • Merge Duplicate: Merge duplicate records of the same entity directly from the record form, choose a master record, and ensure data completeness and consistency.
    • Clean-up History Duplicate Records in Bulk: Merge/clean-up CRM duplicate records in bulk. Choose a master record to merge subordinate records into it while merging records in Bulk.
    • Phonetic Fuzzy Matching: Detect and merge duplicates with similar sounds, like 'John Smith' and 'Jon Smyth,' ensuring consistently accurate data.
    • View Columns: Customize the DeDupeD duplicate merge UI to look like CRM entity view columns. This familiarity minimizes disruptions.
    • Multiple Matching Methods: Select from five different matching methods to identify duplicates according to your business requirements.
    • Advanced Duplicate Filter: This feature enables users to use flexible fetch XML queries to detect duplicates in any CRM scenario.
    • Form selection: Activate duplicate detection on specific entity forms as per your needs.
If you’re looking for a more seamless solution, then DeDupeD could be a great fit. It might be worth exploring how it can help automate your lead merging process more effectively.

If you have any questions or want more details, feel free to reach out at crm@inogic.com

If you are interested in testing the solution for your needs, then you should consider checking out our app for a 15-day free trial from our Website or Microsoft AppSource.

    Hi Partner

No as of now there's no defined way to do this automatically through OOB method.

You might need to create such functionality on creation of lead records which will match the certain parameters to consider this as duplicate and then merge it accordingly.

    RE: Merge lead records

    Hi Akash,

Sorry that's not my question. We know how to merge records in a lead from UI.

I want to know if there's an automated way of doing this.

We want to be able to merge multiple records automatically as they get created in Dynamics365
