Mobile offline profile

Hi all

Have just moved to the new Field Service Mobile App and want to reduce the offline data.

I am having difficulty using related rows and get this error "Unable to update Mobile Offline Profile item relationships" when trying to set to related rows although sometimes it will work. I understand there are likely relationship references that may have to be obtained.

Has anyone been able to achieve something like:

  1. Only get Bookable Resource Bookings in last 7 days for that are not closed and owner equals current user.
  2. Only get Work Orders related to Booking
  3. Only get Customer Assets related Work Orders etc...

It's like I need a document to show which entity to start with to stop the errors, I would also like to remove some of the tables.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Antony,

    Regarding the error:

I struggled with this as well. Some entities that Microsoft included in the out-of-the-box Offline Profile are automatically enabled for Mobile Offline, so I assumed that any entity Microsoft added to the Offline Profile already had Mobile Offline enabled. This is not the case.

In order to make use of relationship filtering, the entity must be enabled for Mobile Offline. This error indicates that it is likely not enabled. Here is a link to MS instructions for mobile offline entity enabling: docs.microsoft.com/.../setup-mobile-offline

Regarding specific filtering, detailed instructions also available here Configure mobile offline synchronization | Microsoft Docs

Filter number one should be done using the Custom Filter. It works just like Advanced Find.

Filters number 2 and 3 can then use the Related Records Only based on the

    • Work Order - Booking Relationship for filter 2
    • Primary Incident Customer Asset - Work Order relationship for filter 3

Hope this resolves your issue. Let me know!

    Thanks for the tip.

I have had some success and some weird behaviour especially when using related tables I presume due to possibly circular references.

I ended up doing custom filter for a few tables when related table failed. It has reduced the Load accessibility.
