D365-HR Employees can enroll in Benefit plans outside the enrollment window

Hi,

Following is the setup for periods in Benefit Management. For Period - 2021 enrollment period was October-December 2020.

Benefit plans are assigned the above period. I ran the enrollment eligibility processing  for period 2021 and the employees are able to select plans via ESS and the plans can also be confirmed as of today. Is this the correct behavior? If the enrollment window was last year, should the employees be able to select the plan in June ?

Kind Regards!

Manisha Bhat

    Hello Manisha,

Does this happen for all user or just new hires? Do you have anything on the eligibility rules under new hire?

    Hi Alexandra,

This is true for all existing employees and also for new hires. New hire eligible is set to "No".

I am using the trial environment.  After running the enrollment eligibility processing for any existing employee, I can log into ESS as that employee and can select the eligible plans. The selection can be confirmed. Please see the screen shot below.

I am able to enroll the employee in Dental plan today even though the enrollment period was October- December 2020.

How do I ensure enrollment is restricted only during open enrollment window?

    Kind Regards!
