Hi
For security reasons, we don't want our users to download or have access to the Microsoft Store site to download Add-ins. We are currently trying to implement Dynamics AX to transfer data to Excel utilizing Admin managed add in Microsoft Dynamics. What we are finding is that when users attempt to run a Dynamics report using the web browser functionality of “open lines in Excel” the Admin Managed Dynamics AX add-in does not load and generates an error. "Microsoft 365 has been configured to prevent individual acquisition and execution's of Office Store Add ins", which correspond with the admin managed settings since we are not using Dynamics 365 from the Microsoft Store, again, due to security reasons. Our question is, can we utilize Dynamics AX to mimic the functionality of Dynamics 365, as an add-in in excel to achieve the financial team goal? Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks for sharing the solution, Cesar. I have marked your reply as verified to set the status of this question to 'Answered'.
We had received information from Microsoft. To use Centralized Deployment, on the App parameters tab on the Office App Parameters page change the App ID, Store, and Store Type:
• App ID: 61bcc63f-b860-4280-8280-3e4fb5ea7726
• Store: EXCatalog
• Store Type: Centralized Deployment
Doing this, fixed the problem.
Hi Cesar,
Are you using Dynamics AX 2012 or Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations? You are using both Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 in one question which leads to this confusion.
