Hi,

I am facing the below error,

"Object Server 01:  Internal version mismatch. Microsoft Dynamics AX client from EXAX1215(6.2.1000.8829) tried to attach with 6.2.3000.110 revision of kernel"

Version: AX 2012 CU9

Components showing already installed in the setup.

Any idea about this error?

Thanks

Shan

You are using an old version of the client to connect to a newer version of AOS. Perhaps you forgot to update (some?) clients when installing kernel updates to your AOS.

Install those updates on the client on the server/workstation that is mentioned in the warning message.

    Hi Nikolaos,

I have updated all the AX Client Workstations.

I have problem in only one AX client workstation where i have uninstalled the older AX Client and Install new client version.

I try to install the new updates but none of them are selected.

and Its displays "this update has already been installed".

    Are caches causing this issue?

    Any idea about this error?

    Thanks

You could uninstall the client and reinstall it with slipstream updates. This means putting the updates in your AX installation files - Updates folder. Then it installs the correct version right away.

    Hi Nikolaos,

    Thanks for your reply.

May I know which CU9 updates folder do you want to copy inside AX Installation files - Updates Folder.

Only CU9 Application updates folder is enough or need to copy also CU9 binary updates folder.

    Please advise.

    Thanks

    Shan

Could be, but this would be the first one that I would try. Could you try it? Shouldn't take very long.

And about your previous question about which update files should be copied: for client you need only the binary updates. Application updates contain x++ code, binary updates contain updates to AOS, Client, Business Connector and other "non-x++" parts of the system.

But I recommend storing all updates that you install under this Updates folder, this way you can always easily reinstall system components without worrying the versions.
