We have Dynamics SL 2018 installed on a Windows server. We Dynamics remote client installed on our user PCs that uses a file share (default Dynamics application folder). When the user launches the application from its PC, it is actually using the executable on the Windows server where the Dynamics software resides. Does this sound like we are using the Application Server module? We are thinking to remove the Application Server module from our annual support/service plan, so we want to make sure that the module can be removed with our current setup. Thank you.

What you are describing and what the Application Server module functionality is are 2 different things. The AS module handles automation requests such as running SL Process screens on a schedule or scheduling Transaction Import requests, etc. What you are describing is the normal way that SL screens are launched in a client/server environment. The AS module is not required for this. Hope that helps.
