Export Language between different NAV versions

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

Is it possible to export an object language from NAV 2015 to NAV 2016 versions? For example export translated tables and pages in development environment from one version to another? If so can anyone please suggest how this can be done.

Thank you

Try using Export-NAVApplicationObjectLanguage cmdlet option of PowerShell: msdn.microsoft.com/.../dn762389(v=nav.90).aspx

Haven't tested it, but I would say "Yes" as the format of the translate export is still the same I recon.

Just give it try be exporting the translatable strings ((read also dynamicsuser.net/.../translation-vs-language-module)) from a number of NAV 2015 C/SIDE objects and import them in NAV 2016. As the British say: the proof is in the eating of the pudding.
