Hello ,
can you please tell me the maximum number of elements in List and MAP in AX 2012.

I'm not aware of any limit and the documentation of List confirms that it can "contain any number of elements". You're limited by available memory, of course.
Thanks Martin, what do you mean by "available memory" ? please more clear here.
For example, you have 10 GB of RAM+virtual memory, you clearly can't store 50 GB of data there.
