Batch processing - data issue

Guys

I have a strange problem when executing something batch processing, in that sometimes it appear that the batch server is using cached parameter settings or something like that.

Restarting the dedicated batch server forces it to get the new data.

I'm at a loss as to what to look at.

Any thoughts?

    Please elaborate. What tasks are scheduled? Are these standard periodic options or customizations? What exact parameters are you referring to?

    Good morning Andre.

    In this particular case, it is a customization that creates sales orders, the code gets some data from the table SalesParameters, and in my particular case, the parameter was subsequently changed. However the code running in batch still seemed to be getting the data from the parameter before the change if that makes sense?

    I restarted the batch AOS which reset things and it then began using the updated data

    Hi Shaun,

    Usually parameters should not change. Unless the business changes. The parameter tables are usually cached. Indeed a restart will clear this cache.

    If you have a cached table that is changing regularly, you should consider adding a statement in your customization to flush the cache or change the caching property on the table (be aware of performance impact).
