In my installation I have two costing versions.
A planned cost version called AVG
A Standard cost version called STD
In the calculation tab of the costing version setup form there is a parameter called
Cost price model that can have two different values:
Calculation group (is the setting for the AVG cost version)
Version cost price (is the setting for the STD cost version)
What is the difference between the two?
Thanks
Hi Sjoe,
In short:
For standard cost prices, you need a separate costing version and activate your standard cost prices there. That's a must and that's why you cannot change the parameter setting costing version.
For items that follow a different pricing model (FIFO, LIFO, etc.) you can set up their cost prices in a cost version or alternatively define in a calculation group that the item purchase price or the one defined in a trade agreement shall primarily been used for costing purposes. That's why you can make this selection for the non-standard cost costing version.
Hope that clarifies things.
Best regards,
Ludwig
Hello,
I already did and I'm not able to find anywhere the explanation of that specific parameter. Any idea where to find the exact description of all the parameters in the calculation tab?
Thanks

Hi Sjoe,
I think this docs site answers your questions and provides you more insights into costing versions.
docs.microsoft.com/.../about-costing-versions
Would be great if you could check this out.

Ludwig
