Attachments / Document in Field Service

We have a scenario in relation to the title that I’m not seeing a solution for.

Scenario:

-          SharePoint document management has been configured for Dynamics 365.

-          Field Service mobile app is used to take a picture or to capture a signature.  Information is saved.

-          Picture and / or signature are captured as notes with attachments in Dynamics 365.

Questions:

-          Why aren’t the attachments stored as documents in SharePoint?

-          How would a person that has a SharePoint license but not a CRM license see an attachment on a note?  (I don’t think they can.)

We tested the Sales app and the Field Service app and it looks like the Field Service app has a gap because one can’t get to the “Documents” area from a navigation standpoint in order to access the SharePoint documents.

Thanks for your guidance!

Q1: Document handling with SharePoint is just an add-on to CRM. Therefore attachments Defaults to the notes entity.

Q2: You are right, its not possible.

When using SharePoint, Users should be trained to only use the SharePoint / CRM Integration to store documents, if possible.

This guide explains how to configure Resco Woodford to enable SharePoint support for the Field Service app:
